This year's HFOSS Summer Institute started May 27, 2008. Our 13 interns are working on a variety of Projects, all with unique humanitarian goals.

The Humanitarian FOSS Project is a research effort aimed at testing the hypothesis that humanitarian free and open source software development, done within the context of a real-world problem-solving environment, can help revitalize undergraduate computing education.

Humanitarian FOSS

Humanitarian Free Open-Source Software (HFOSS) is the application of free software principles to help humanitarian causes.
